PM Đukanović congratulates Russia's Independance Day to Dmitry Medvedev

Podgorica, Montenegro (15 June 2015) -- Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Đukanović congratulated the Independance Day of the Russian Federation to his counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.

Relations between Montenegro and Russia are based on centuries-old tradition of friendship and closeness of the two peoples, PM Đukanović underlines in his letter of congratulations.

Montenegro’s EU and NATO bid cannot be an obstacle to the development of bilateral relations and cooperation with other countries, in particular with traditional partners and friends such as Russia, he notes. Montenegrin government believes the integration process is the best way to strengthen peace and stability in the region, Europe and beyond, the Prime Minister’s Đukanović’s congratulatory letter reads.
