Lonely Planet proclaims Montenegro's Jaz beach as best in Europe
Lonely Planet, the world's leading travel guide publisher, ranked Montenegro’s Jaz beach first on the list of ten best European beaches that should be inevitably visited this year, thus positioning Budva and Montenegro as the best tourist destination, ahead of Portugal, France, Italy, UK, Spain, Greece and Lithuania.
Describing the Jaz beach, the Lonely Planet reads that is located near Budva, decorated by an enchanting old city and the Citadel, which turns into a theatrical stage under the open sky within the Theatre City festival during the summer. For lovers of adrenaline who are going to visit Montenegro and Jaz beach this summer, the Lonely Planet recommends day trips, including a mandatory rafting through the Tara canyon.
On the occasion of the jubilee 40th anniversary of the most prestigious international printed guide, the Lonely Planet has published a special edition "Best in Travel 2013", which recommends Montenegro as one of the top ten world travel destinations.
Furthermore, in the last year’s May issue of the magazine, the Lonely Planet ranked the Budva’s Sea Dance festival the second best musical event in Europe. After visiting the festival and Jaz beach, the magazine's representatives did not hide their enthusiasm about the beauty of the Montenegrin coast.
