Podgorica, Montenegro (6 July 2015) – Good cooperation between Montenegro and Italy at all levels, particularly in the fight against corruption, has been once again confirmed by signing a cooperation memorandum between the Montenegro Ministry of the Interior’s Directorate for Anti – Corruption Initiative and Italian Anti – Corruption Agency. The memorandum was signed by Minister of Justice of Montenegro Zoran Pažin and President of Italy’s Anti – Corruption Agency Raffaele Cantone.

The memorandum will strengthen and boost the cooperation aimed at combating corruption and the both institutions will continue exchanging information and experience in order to be well informed about legal and institutional frameworks in the areas important for fighting corruption and promoting integrity.

Enhancement of the communication will enable more intensive collaboration between the two countries, not only when it comes to harmonising Montenegrin legislation with international and European standards, but also in terms of their more efficient implementation.
