Bar, Montenegro (23 July 2015) – Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Igor Lukšići met earlier today in Bar with foreign ministers of Romania, Croatia, Hungary and Poland, Bogdan Aurescu, Vesna Pusić, Péter Szijjártó and Grzegorz Schetyna.

The officials exchanged views on current developments in bilateral relations, putting particular emphasis on the process of Euro-Atlantic accession and Montenegro's progress in the context of the December summit.

Montenegro is an example of the successful implementation of reforms, as evidenced by the track record it has developed. Therefore, it deserves to be invited to join the Alliance by the end of the year, foreign ministers of Romania, Hungary, Croatia and Poland underscored.

They also pointed out the importance of maintaining the reform momentum in the coming period and stressed that Montenegro can count on their full support for the continuation of its NATO accession process.

Deputy Prime Minister Lukšić emphasised the results of reforms in the key areas, pledging the Government's full commitment to meeting all the requirements towards receiving NATO membership invitation by the end of the year.
