Press release regarding the approval of applications for projects under the Operational Programme Regional Development 2012-2013

Decision of the European Commission, dated 7th December 2012, adopted the Operational Programme Regional Development 2012-2013 for Montenegro under the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA). By signing the Financing Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the European Union, represented by the European Commission on 5th December 2014, created the conditions for the start of implementation of projects defined through three priority axes of Operational Programme Regional Development 2012-2013: environment, transport and technical support.

In the first half of 2015 were prepared and approved by the EU Delegation to Montenegro, the application of the following projects:

- Dismantle of the existing, procurement, construction and installation of new electic substations Trebešica - Application approved on 25th February 2015, in the amount of € 3,570,000.00;
- Rehabilitation of the unsanitary landfill Cafe in Bar - Application approved on June 23rd, 2015, in the amount of € 5,284,739.00;
- Implementation of the Communication Action Plan, the organization of meetings of the Sectoral Monitoring Committee, to build the capacity of the Operating Structure and the translation of documents relevant for regional development - Application approved on 27th April 2015, in the amount of € 165,300.00;
- Improvement of IT and office infrastructure, improvement of the monitored capacity of Implementing body - Application approved on 27th April 2015, in the amount of € 117,295.00.

For the project Trebešica tender for works is published and during in July/August this year is expected launching for these other listed activities that in the course of the fourth quarter contracts were signed and implementation started.
