Session of the National Security Council Was Held
The National Security Council, in its today’s session, chaired by the Prime Minister and Council President, Milo Đukanović, analyzed the current security situation in the context of the latest developments in the region and the intelligence and security sector capacities, from the aspect of responding to threats from the religious radicalism, along with cross-cutting conditions within intervention units, priorities regarding the purchase of necessary and insufficient equipment, and a proposal of measures for the competent state authorities and institutions' actions.
Countering security challenges, which imply the phenomenon of religous motivated radicalism, represents one of priorities in the work of state bodies which, through a well-defined and comprehensive approach, in accordance with their competences, individually and in cooperation with other bodies, are active in the field of fighting security challenges and threats posed by the religious radicalism.
The session of the Council was, by invitation only, attended by the Supreme State Prosecutor, Minister of Education and Minister of Human and Minority Rights.
The Council also considered other issues from its competence.
