Montenegro signs border agreements with Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo

Vienna, Austria (26 August 2015) -- Interstate border agreements between Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro and Kosovo, were signed earlier today in Vienna.

These are the first border agreements Montenegro signed with neighbouring countries, once again confirming its commitment to the affirmation and continuous strengthening of good neighbourly relations with full respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of each state. The agreements will also contribute to boosting stability and development of the region.

The signing ceremonies were organised on the eve of the Western Balkans Summit in Vienna, and was attended by Austrian President Heinz Fischer, who will also host the Vienna conference, President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Čović and Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurtz.
