Podgorica, Montenegro (16 September 2015) – Montenegrin MPs adopted earlier tonight the Resolution supporting Montenegro's NATO integration. Fifty MPs voted in favour, 26 against, and three abstained.
The Resolution notes that NATO membership is a strategic and general interest of Montenegro, its economy, and citizens. It is expected that NATO foreign ministers will propose for Montenegro to be invited to join the Alliance in December.
The previous press release said that the Government proposed the Resolution, but in fact it only backed up the document on Montenegro's NATO integration.
