Podgorica, Montenegro (18 September 2015) -- Deputy Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted earlier today newly appointed Turkish Ambassador in Podgorica Serhat Galip.

Emphasising the quality cooperation established between the two countries, the two officials exchanged views on current policies and opportunities for further strengthening the partnership relations.

DPM Marković welcomed the Ambassador Galip and wished him success in his diplomatic mission in Montenegro, stressing the importance of the support Turkey unconditionally provides to Montenegro on its path towards achieving its national and foreign policy priorities. He in particular refereed to the possibility of further development of economic cooperation, which would enrich good relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Galip pointed out Turkey's willingness to support Montenegro's policies, especially when it comes to the integration processes which resulted in the fact that Montenegro is now on the verge of becoming a new NATO member state, while continuing to meet requirements arising from its EU agenda.
