Education Minister Bošković participates in 3rd China-CEEC Education Policy Dialogue in Warsaw
Warsaw, Poland (21 September 2015) -- Montenegrin delegation, headed by Education Minister Predrag Bošković, participated in the 3rd China - Central and Eastern European Countries Education Policy Dialogue, which was held in Warsaw.
In his address, Minister Bošković spoke about the quality assurance system in Montenegro, youth employability, importance of vocational education and expectations of the reform in this area. Mr Bošković said it is crucial to build an educational system that will enable the acquisition of know-how, skills and competencies enabling employment, greater mobility and competitiveness in the labour market beyond Montenegro’s borders. The Education Minister also referred to the graduate career tracking system after the completion of the vocational training and education programmes for university graduates the Government of Montenegrin has implemented the fourth year in a row.
"The goal of the programme is to facilitate the transition of young people from school to work, through acquiring additional knowledge, skills and competencies corresponding with the labour market's needs. The programme contributes to the reduction of youth unemployment, perhaps the most pressing problem facing Europe, and provides guidelines for higher education institutions in designing the enrolment policy. In the period 2012-2015, Montenegro has employed 10,980 university graduates. According to a survey on the programme of professional training of university graduates, based on a representative sample, one in four users continued their working arrangement after the expiry of the nine-month training programme," Education Minister Bosković concluded.
