NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg delivered a speech early this moring at the Government House in the Old Royal Capital of Cetinje, Montenegro, as part of the North Atlantic Council’s two-day visit to Montenegro.

The North Atlantic Council’s visit to Montenegro ahead of the December NATO foreign ministers’ meeting is an opportunity to inform the highest representatives of the Alliance about Montenegro’s achievements in the key reform areas, with emphasis on the rule of law and public support. The visit is of paramount importance in the context of the forthcoming decision on extending a NATO membership invitation to Montenegro.
