Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Igor Lukšić sent a letter of condolence to his French counterpart Laurent Fabius regarding the last night’s terrorist attacks in Paris.

Deputy Prime Minister Lukšić said that Montenegro stands by friendly France and its people’s side in these difficult times, reiterating the need to make a joint, resolute and strong response to terrorism, as one of the greatest threats to modern democratic order.

"Last night's brutal attacks in Paris are the attacks on all of us and the civilisational values underlying the developed, democratic societies, which obliges us to continue the fight against terrorism and all other threats to global peace," the DPM Lukšić’s letter emphasises.

The Embassy of Montenegro in Paris is in constant touch with the French authorities. Based on the current available information, no Montenegrin citizen was killed or injured during the last night terrorist attacks in the French capital.
