Government of Montenegro approves 2016 Budget Bill totalling EUR 2.125 billion

Podgorica, Montenegro (14 November 2015) -- The Government of Montenegro approved at today’s Cabinet meeting the Budget Bill for 2016 totalling EUR 2.125 billion, Finance Minister Radoje Žugić told the press conference earlier today.

In 2016, the current budget spending is estimated to amount to EUR 773 million, whereas the capital budget is projected at the level of EUR 335 million, Minister Žugić explained.

He also noted that the state funds’ budget is planned at the level EUR 626 million and EUR 391 million will be used for refinancing public debt.

According to the 2016 budget bill, the budget deficit will amount to 7.15% of GDP and is directly linked to the construction of the priority part of the Bar-Boljare highway, the Finace Minister concluded.
