STATEMENT: Disagreements in Pristina on the state border with Montenegro are Kosovo’s internal matter

Published on: Dec 10, 2015 8:24 PM Author: PR Service
Acting on the requests of several national and foreign media outlets who asked for comment on media reports about the statements of some Republic of Kosovo officials in relation to the state border between Montenegro and Kosovo, the Government of Montenegro Public Relations Service informs the public that we consider the disagreements in Pristina in relation to the Border Agreement with Montenegro to be Kosovo’s internal matter.

We maintain that the Agreement officially confirms the administrative borders in accordance with the SFR Yugoslavia 1974 Constitution. If there are doubts that this has not been done and that there has been a mistake, we are willing to consider this as we wish no disagreement with our neighbours, taking into account the state and national interests of Montenegro.

This is the summary of the message Montenegro’s Prime Minister Milo Đukanović has conveyed to Kosovo’s Prime Minister Isa Mustafa and other Kosovo officials.
