Podgorica, Montenegro (1 February 2016) -- Prime Minister Milo Đukanović hosted earlier today the inaugural visit of Ambassador of India Rajeev Misra.

The Prime Minister emphasised the Montenegrin Government's interest in boosting the overall cooperation with India given the traditionally friendly relations between the countries, hopeful that the intensification of political dialogue will provide new impetus in that direction.

Ambassador Misra voiced commitment to strengthening cooperation in political and economic fields, particularly in the areas of tourism, culture and science.

The meeting also pointed out potential cooperation in development projects in Montenegro and in the field of information technology.

The two officials welcomed the initiative of the Montenegrin President Filip Vujanović on the establishment of the Indian Cultural Centre in Montenegro.
