PM Đukanović meets with his Georgian counterpart Giorgi Kvirikashvili in Munich

Munich, Germany (12 February 2016) – On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, Prime Minister Milo Đukanović met with his Georgian counterpart Giorgi Kvirikashvili.

The Prime Minister of Georgia congratulated Montenegro on receiving NATO invitation and the progress made in the negotiations with the EU, voicing interest in the Montenegrin experience in the accession processes. He called for deepening partnerships between the two countries in all areas, based on traditional cultural closeness and friendship between the two peoples.

Prime Minister Đukanović pointed out that Montenegro is willing to share its know-how and experience in NATO and EU integration processes. He particularly emphasised the possibilities of cooperation in agriculture, energy, tourism and other areas.

The two heads of government agreed on the exchange of visits during this year, when Montenegro is celebrating the tenth, and Georgia the twenty-fifth anniversary of independence.
