Podgorica, Montenegro (11 March 2016) -- At its session held earlier today, the Steering Committee for the Celebration of the Tenth Anniversary of Montenegro’s independence unanimously selected a conceptual logo solution by Ana Matić, among works of six well-known Montenegrin graphic designers submitted in a competition sponsored by the committee.

The logo solution of the visual identity of celebrating "Ten years of restoration of Montenegro's independence" includes a form of a medal with three arrows, i.e. triangle directed towards the centre, in a manifold movement and the unity of different parts.

The logo symbolises different peoples and cultures that form a millennial-long multicultural identity of the Montenegrin state. The medal also points to the spirit of victory and due tribute to the common patriotic and historic act of restoration of independence, as stated in the explanation of the logo solution.

Basic colours are the colours of the state symbols of Montenegro - red and gold, with the inscription "A decade of restoration of independence, a thousand years of statehood", with the signature - the last verse of the anthem of Montenegro "May Eternal Be Montenegro".

During the jubilee year, the logo will be featured on letterhead, business correspondence and documents of all state institutions, as well as activities within the jubilee’s celebration, which will be implemented under this logo. The logo will be carrying inscriptions printed in English and Albanian as well.

The meeting was chaired by Chairman of the Committee and Chief Political Adviser to Prime Minister Milan Roćen.
