Podgorica, Montenegro (7 April 2016) -- The Ministry for Information Society and Telecommunications and Ministry of Education held earlier today a press conference regarding five years of eGovernment Portal and promotion of eServices of the Ministry of Education.

Director General of the Directorate of eGovernement Development of the Ministry for Information Society and Telecommunications Stevan Ljumović noted that the eGovernment Portal officially started on 7 April 2011, in cooperation with five state institutions, citizens and legal entities, and initially provided 12 eServices. Nowadays, there are 165 available eServices under the jurisdiction of 28 state authorities.

"This year's focus has been placed on the creation of eServices, which will enable more efficient provision of services to citizens, organisations and institutions in electronic form at any time regardless of the working hours of the Ministry, thus saving time and reducing customers' costs. We have created 12 eServices to date. Some of them are informative, and some, in addition to providing information, give the ability to download certain filling in forms. Furthermore, there are a set of services that are fully electronic, where the requesting party monitors their realisation and gets the answer without coming to the Ministry," said Arijana Nikolić Vučinić.
