PEĆ: Admiral Samardžić with KFOR Commander, General Miglietta

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, Admiral Dragan Samardžić met today with the KFOR Commander, General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, at the camp „Villaggio Italia“in the city of Pec.

In the meeting is discussed the overall security situation in the region. Admiral Samardzic pointed out the significance of the KFORs presence not only for the security of Kosovo but also the overall Balkans region.

General Miglietta emphasized that KFOR remains devoted to its mission and that the mandate of international forces in Kosovo will be based on the careful analysis and assessments of situations on the terrain. The KFOR Commander pointed out the excellent cooperation and support of the Armed Forces of Montenegro on applying the Agreement on transition with KFOR.

The interlocutors agreed that regular communication and meetings of this type enhance cooperation and contribute to strengthening the security situation in the region.
