USA supports Montenegro's accession to NATO, Ambassador Uyehara underlines

Budva, Montenegro (6 May 2016) -- On the sidelines of the To Be Secure Forum (2BS), taking place in Budva, Prime Minister Milo Đukanović met with US Ambassador Margaret Uyehara.

Ambassador Uyehara pledged, on behalf of President Obama and the US Government, support to Montenegro's accession to the Alliance, ahead of the signing of the Accession Protocol at NATO ministerial meeting in Brussels, and bstart of the ratification process. The Prime Minister thanked the US Ambassador for the official Washington's continuous support for Montenegro's reform efforts and its democratic path.

The two officials exchanged views on current developments in Montenegro and the region.
