Prime Minister Đukanović meets in Budva with Deputy Secretary-General of NATO Alexander Vershbow

Budva, Montenegro (6 May 2016) -- During the 6th 2BS Forum in Budva, Prime Minister Milo Đukanović met with Deputy Secretary-General of NATO Alexander Vershbow.

The Prime Minister thanked the NATO administration for their help and support in the process of accession to the Alliance, expressing satisfaction with the upcoming signing of the Accession Protocol at a ministerial meeting in Brussels.

The NATO Deputy Secretary-General said that he is pleased that the accession protocol will be signed by the Prime Minister, and praised the achievements Montenegro has made. Previous enlargement experience has shown how much the countries undergoing reform path progressed, as evidenced by the example of Montenegro. Your horizons will be expanded globally, he said when speaking about the benefits of NATO membership for Montenegro, but also for the region.
