PM Đukanović and European Council President Tusk to address on Saturday at the Independence Square, festive programme follows
Celebration of the Tenth Anniversary of the restoration of Montenegro's independence and thousand years of its statehood will be marked with festive programme on Saturday, 21 May 2016 at the Independence Square in Podgorica.
Prime Minister Milo Đukanović and President of the European Council Donald Tusk will address the guests and citizens at the ceremony, which begins at 8:00 pm.
In the festive programme of the Jubilee's celebration participate: Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Grigory Krasko; Montenegrin choral ensemble consisting of students of the Music Academy of the University of Montenegro, the students of the Music School "Vasa Pavic" in Podgorica, and soloists Oliver Tičević, soprano; Vasa Stajkić, baritone and Miroslav Ilic, accordion.
Prose passages and songs selected from the works of Petar I Njegoš, Nikola I, Mirko Kovač, Jevrem Brković, Čedo Vuković, Alfred Tennyson and Ratko Vujošević will perform dramatic artists: Miloš Pejović, Zoran Vujović, Ana Vučković, Kristina Stevović, Jelena Nenezić Rakočević, Nikola Perišić, Dejan Ivanić, Aleksandar Radulović, Momo Otašević, Dušan Kovačević and Srđan Grahovac. Especially for the celebration programme is established "Montenegro Ethnic Dance" ensemble, consisting of members of folk ensembles "Budo Tomovic" and "Mirko Srzentić" from Podgorica; "Besa", Zatrijebač; "Vrelo Ibra" from Rožaje and "Njegoš" from Cetinje.
As part of the programme that will reflect multicultural character of Montenegro and richness of its heritage through dance and music the following artist will participate: vocal group "Alata" and "Assa Voce", and soloists on old instruments Stevan Popović, fiddle; Đorđe Begu, ljerica; Sandra Bijelić and Ivo Brajak, mandolins; Štjefan Ujkić, kaval; Zdravko Angelov and Igor Bakrevski, clarinets and Stevan Čavor, diple. The choreography of "Montenegro Ethnic Dance" ensemble on Dance of Spič, under the direction of Hasan Đečević; Dance of Škaljari, under the direction of Svetozar Perović; Dance of Malesia, under the direction of Štjefan Ujkić; Dance of Plav and Gusinje, under the direction of Ibis Kujević; and Dance of the old Montenegro, under the direction of Savo Vučković is signed by Tamara Vujošević Mandić and Mirsad Ademović.
Part of the programme is Dance from the opera Balkan Empress, which perform Sanja Vujović, Snežana Jatoni, Maja Stojanović, Danijela Žurić, Nataša Zečević, Anđela Ulićević, Slavko Kalezić, Miloš Mugoša, Miloš Popović, Nenad Todorović and Haris Škrijelj.
The programme will broadcast RTCG. Several institutions participated in the preparation of anniversary celebration. The programme features about four hundred performers. This event is opened for interested citizens, alongside six hundred foreign and domestic guests.
The concept of the Jubilee's celebration signs the team of authors: Radmila Vojvodić, Žarko Mirković, Goran Joksimović, Živko Andrijašević, Srđan Vukčević, Tamara Vujošević, Mirsad Ademović, Danijela Radovanović, Mile Buturović, Lina Leković, Janko Ljumović and Edin Jašarović.
Special area is available for journalists, photographers and video cameramen from which they can freely follow the course of events and perform journalistic, photo and camera assignments.

Accreditation for tomorrow's event should be acquired on Saturday, 21 May 2016 from 9:00 am until noon at the Public Relations Service of the Government of Montenegro. Without this accreditation it will not be possible to enter special area for media representatives.
