Podgorica, Montenegro (29 May 2016) – Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Đukanović will participate tomorrow in NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session in Tirana.

At the plenary session, hosted by the Parliament of Albania, in addition to Prime Minister Đukanović, the speeches will be delivered by President of NATO PA Michael Turner, Speaker of the Parliament of Albania Ilir Meta, Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama, as well as NATO Deputy Secretary-General Alexander Vershbow.

Prime Minister Đukanović will take part in the important event, after NATO foreign ministers signed the Protocol on the Accession of Montenegro to the Alliance on 19 May, which represents the penultimate step on the path towards full membership of Montenegro in this organisation.

The focus of the NATO PA Spring Session will be placed on the upcoming summit in Warsaw and regional developments that are also important for Montenegro's membership.

Participation in the session of NATO PA will be an opportunity for bilateral meetings and discussions on the progress of Montenegro on its path towards full membership in the Alliance and further reform steps and activities ahead of the completion of the ratification process in the parliaments of NATO member states.
