Ivanović – Uyehara: Intensification of cooperation in tourism, industry and agriculture

Podgorica, Montenegro (1 June 2016) – Deputy Prime Minister Petar Ivanović met today with US Ambassador to Montenegro Margaret Ann Uyehara.

During a long and cordial conversation the two officials expressed satisfaction with the continued successful cooperation between Montenegro and the United States, noting that in addition to the quality of political dialogue, cooperation in the fields of economy, education and science is increasing.

DPM Ivanović thanked for the continued support of the United States to the process of Montenegro's Euro-Atlantic integration, both in the political context and through expert and technical assistance. Mr Ivanović pointed out the importance of the Cochran programme for strengthening education in the field of agriculture.

The two officials agreed that evidently good, close and friendly relations between the two countries should be upgraded in the future with more intensive cooperation in the fields of tourism, industry and agriculture.
