Podgorica, Montenegro (8 May 2016) – National Coordinator for NATO Vesko Garčević made a statement regarding ratification of the Protocol on the Accession of Montenegro to NATO.
Ambassador Garčević recalled that Iceland was the first country that recognised Montenegro's independence ten years ago.
"Now, this country is the first that ratified the Protocol on the Accession of Montenegro to NATO, on the same day that it officially recognised Montenegro's independence ten years ago. It has been noted that Accession Protocol will be ratified by Slovenia during the course of a day and that the same thing will be done by Hungarian Parliament on 13 June," Ambassador Garčević said.
