Education Minister Predrag Bošković participates in Connecting Youth Conference in Paris

Paris, France (5 July 2016) -- Education Minister Predrag Bošković participated earlier today in the Connecting Youth Conference in Paris. The conference discussed the promotion of reconciliation and cooperation of young people in the Western Balkans, and presented the Regional Youth Cooperation Office of the Western Balkans.

Minister Bošković said that establishing of the Regional Office is an important step forward in connecting young people, as they should look to future, not to past, adding that the youth will carry on new Balkan values such as peace and stability. He recalled of the shining example of the establishment of good relations after the World War II between Germany and France and urged young people to actively participate in policies dealing with youth issues and to contribute especially to the process of reconciliation and establishment of better relations among the neighbours.

French Minister of Urbanism, Sport and Youth Patrick Kanner also took part in the Forum, as well as Minister of Youth and Social Welfare of Albania Blendi Klosi, Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH Adil Osmanović, Minister of Youth and Sport of Serbia Vanja Udovičić, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport of Kosovo Kujtim Salja and Director of Agency for Youth and Sport of Macedonia Marjan Spaseski.

Youth Forum was held within the Paris Balkan Summit of 2016, organised in order to help and support countries of the Western Balkan in their EU integration by strengthening economic cooperation and laying the foundation for better connections and sustainable growth in the entire region.
