Statement on remarks by Spokesperson of Russian Foreign Ministry

Published on: Jul 15, 2016 3:23 AM Author: PR Service

Undiplomatic language by the Russian diplomacy’s representative, whose style is more a problem of Moscow, is the best confirmation of what Prime Minister Milo Đukanović has spoken about.

Her accusation about who is destroying friendly relations with Russia is absolutely unfounded. On the contrary, Montenegro is trying to improve those relations, and not in words but in action, as evidenced by the decisions made by the Government of Montenegro, such as the extension of the visa - free regime for the citizens of the Russian Federation from 30 to 90 days.

On the other hand, by issuing such statements they would like to teach us to respect their wishes about the referendum, and not the Constitution of our own country. After all, it is on us to decide whether we are going to hold a referendum and what is going to be decided in the referendum. Even though it comes from a friend, it is too much.
