Montenegro sends protest note to Croatia over erection of monument to Miro Barešić
Published on: Aug 2, 2016 • 2:22 AM Author: PR Service
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro has sent a note of protest to the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Podgorica over the erection of monument to Miro Barešić in Drage in the Municipality of Pakoštane, Croatia, having in mind that Miro Barešić has been convicted for the murder of Vladimir Rolović in 1971, who at the time was Ambassador of Yugoslavia to the Kingdom of Sweden.
The Ministry expects that the Government of the Republic of Croatia will renounce this non-civilisational act, given that Vladimir Rolović was a renowned anti-fascist and a renowned Yugoslav and Montenegrin diplomat.
