RESPONSE: The Government did not finance the Dictionary, MP Đeljošaj’s statement untrue

Podgorica, Montenegro (3 August 2016) — On Wednesday, 3 August 2016, Nik Đeljošaj MP voiced a statement that the Government of Montenegro has ‘financed’ the Dictionary of Montenegrin Vernacular and Literary Language issued by the Academy of Science and Art (CANU).

This statement is untrue.

The Government of Montenegro has not provided financial support for the publication of the Dictionary, as has been communicated to the public almost two months ago on 4 June 2016 by Minister of Culture Pavle Goranović.
