PR ServicePodgorica, Montenegro (23 July 2016) -- Representatives of the mothers from Rožaje said earlier this evening after meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Rafet Husović that they will stop protesting in front of the Government building and return to Rožaje, where they will wait for the completion of the procedures related to their demands for rights for mothers with three or more children. The meeting was also attended by Advisor to the Prime Minister Radoje Žugić and, Nikola Dedeić of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare.

Mr Dedeić informed representatives of the mothers from Rožaje about the current situation, emphasising that the decisions made by the Centre for Social Work in Rožaje have been declared invalid and returned to the first instance authority for retrial due to essential violations of administrative procedures. He also informed them about the next steps that need to be taken in order to establish all the facts and additional evidence. He called on all mothers whose decisions were declared invalid to respond to the invitation of the Centre for Social Work in Rožaje and submit all the documents which may be valid, saying that all good evidence and documents will be forwarded to the Employment Bureau of Montenegro, which will, on the basis of new evidence, submit new certificates to the Centre for Social Work, which will reach new decisions in renewed procedures.

Advisor to Prime Minister Radoje Žugić offered his assistance in finding the best solutions and legal basis for resolving their problems.

Deputy Prime Minister Husović informed the representatives of the mothers of Rožaje that he spoke with the Prime Minister about this issue, and that everything will be done in order to find the best solutions for all the mothers, for whom there are minimum legal requirements. Mr Husović said that he will do his best in order to accelerate procedures prescribed by the law, and called on the mothers to stop protests and wait for the completion of the procedures at their homes.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of the mothers from Rožaje thanked the Government’s officials for meeting them and expressed satisfaction with the fact that they will be assisted in exercising their rights and announced that they will immediately stop protesting in front of the Government building and return to Rožaje.
