DPM Lazović hosts farewell visit by Head of EU Delegation to Montenegro Mitja Drobnič

Podgorica, Montenegro (30 August 2016) – Deputy Prime Minister Vujica Lazović hosted today a farewell visit by the Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, Ambassador Mitja Drobnič.

DPM Lazović thanked the Ambassador for his contribution and personal commitment, especially at a time when Montenegro was facing key economic challenges, political stabilisation and society transformation, thereby putting emphasis on the development of the Programme of economic reforms and digital transformation, where the recommendations and suggestions of the European Commission and the EU Delegation to Montenegro were crucial.

Ambassador Drobnič congratulated on the successful implementation of activities in the previous period, as well as on the achieved success and expressed confidence that Montenegro will continue to make progress towards European integration.

The two officials concluded that the foundation for the negotiations in the accession process was laid, as well as the good dynamics, which should be continued at the same pace in the following period.
