Podgorica, Montenegro (5 September 2016) – Captains regents of San Marino, Gian Nicola Berti and Massimo Andrea Ugolini, will pay an official visit to Montenegro from 4 to 6 September 2016.

The delegation will visit Sveti Stefan and Budva and meet with Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism Branimir Gvozdenović and Minister of Culture Pavle Goranović. Earlier in the day, the delegation will visit King Nikola's Museum in Cetinje.

It is believed that San Marino is the oldest republic in the world because it was traditionally founded by Christian saint St. Marin (San Marino). Captains regents and the cabinet are the executive, they are heads of state and they are elected by Parliament from among its members.

In May the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the Republic of San Marino signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism, which intensifies exchange of experiences and ideas between the two countries and encourages the implementation of projects in the field of tourism and its related fields such as culture, education and investment.
