Ceremony of awarding concessions for extraction of hydrocarbons from Montenegrin seabeds

Podgorica, Montenegro (13 September 2016) – Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Đukanović will speak tomorrow, 14 September 2016, on the occassion of awarding concessions for the extraction of hydrocarbons from the Montenegrin seabeds, which will be organised in the Villa Gorica at 2 p.m.

The concession contract will be signed by Minister of Economy Vladimir Kavarić, on behalf of the Government of Montenegro, Carlo Vito Russo, on behalf of the "Eni“ company, and Andrei Popov on behalf of the "Novatek“ company. The signatories to the contract will also make statements for the public.

Norwegian lawyer and international consultant on oil and gas Bjørn Erik Leerberg, who was engaged as an expert advisor for the Ministry of Economy in the tender procedure for awarding concessions, will give a presentation titled "Managing hydrocarbons in Montenegro from the aspect of resources management.“

After Mr Leerberg's presentation, PM Milo Đukanović will make a statement for the public.

After the signing ceremony, a coctail party will be organised for all the participants.

Journalists, photo-reporters and cameramen can enter the Villa „Gorica“ by using an annual accreditation card of the Government of Montenegro for 2016, along with ID card.

Media representatives, who do not have the annual accreditation card, should promptly request the issuance of daily accreditation at the Public Relations Service on Wednesday, 14 September 2016.

Journalists and cameramen should be in the Villa Gorica by 1:30 p.m.
