PM Đukanović to visit European Parliament and Council of Europe in Strasbourg

Podgorica, Montenegro (14 September 2016) – Prime Minister Milo Đukanović will travel today to Strasbourg, where he will have a series of meetings in the European Parliament and the Council of Europe. 

The Prime Minister will participate in the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, whose members he will brief about the results of the negotiation process with the EU, as well as the plans for the implementation of reforms and the fulfillment of obligations towards the full membership. He will also participate in the constituent meeting of the Group of Friends of Montenegro in the European Parliament. 

During his stay in Strasbourg, PM Đukanović will meet with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjørn Jagland, with whom he will discuss further enhancement of cooperation between Montenegro and the Council of Europe, which makes a significant contribution to the democratisation of the Montenegrin society and the progress of Montenegro in the integration process.
