Prime Minister Milo Đukanović gives interview to Belgrade-based television B92

Prime Minister Milo Đukanović gave an interview to Belgrade-based television B92 about relations between Montenegro and Serbia, which was aired earlier this evening on the aforementioned television and on Montenegro's PRVA TV.

"I think the overall atmosphere is significantly improved. I believe that it is not pretentious to say that Prime Minister Vučić and I gave significant contribution and that today we are pleased to say that we are now entering a very intensive phase of recovering our relations, or to say, creating a role model for relations among neighbours in the region," the Prime Minister said.

PM Đukanović stated in the interview that delaying to use the term of office which citizens gave through the confidence in the election is a kind of cowardice and unwillingness to take responsibility for decision-making:

"Citizens did not put their trust in us in order to carefully preserve the resources without using them. The resources exist so that they can be put in sustainable way into operation of higher quality of life. If all comes down to preserving resources for future generations, it means that we get the task to maintain the existing level of GDP per capita to EUR 6000, what, as we agreed, does not satisfy any citizen of Montenegro, that we agreed that the average wages should not exceed EUR 500 and that the average pension should not exceed the current level of EUR 270. I do not believe that this satisfies anyone. And we cannot increase the average wage, nor pension if we do not have economic development. Again, there cannot be economic development, if we do not valorise our resources," Prime Minister Milo Đukanović said in the interview with B92.
