Podgorica, Montenegro (19 September 2016) -- Deputy Prime Minister Vujica Lazović hosted earlier today newly appointed Head of the EU Delegation to Montenegro, Ambassador Aivo Orav.

Expressing gratitude for the delegation’s support for Montenegro, DPM Lazović welcomed Ambassador Orava and wished him success in his work. The Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that Montenegro remains committed to the tasks and objectives of the EU accession process.

Both sides assessed Montenegro's progress in the integration process as stable and dynamic.

"Montenegrin institutions are open to cooperation with all relevant stakeholders of this historical process, and they aim to boost capacities of the entire society on the path towards full membership," said the Deputy Prime Minister.

He commented on the results achieved in the negotiation process, hopeful that Montenegro will continue to be a good partner and retain its leading role in the EU integration process.
