Montenegro's Cabinet session

Podgorica, Montenegro (22 September 2016) – At today's session, the Montenegrin Cabinet adopted the Action Plan for the implementation of the Justice ICT Strategy for the period 2016-2020. The aim of the action plan is to establish a unified information system in the judiciary, as a mechanism of reinforcing the administrative capacity, more effective delivery of information and services to citizens and institutions, better cooperation with other judicial systems, EU institutions and international organisations. Discussion pointed out that the implementation of measures set out in the action plan contributes to developing legal safety necessary for economic growth, exercise of citizens' rights and compliance with European standards and values. Government also adopted the Decision on establishing the Commission for monitoring and coordinating the implementation of the Strategy.

In order to comply with the Law on Administrative Procedure, the Cabinet approved the Draft Law Amending the Law on Trademarks, Patents and Legal Protection of Industrial Designs.

At today's session, the Government adopted the information on the purchase of lambs and Instruction on records of purchase and payment of VAT for 2016. In order to create opportunities for the Montenegrin farmers to sell the market surplus and create favourable conditions for supplying the low income population, primarily the pensioners, the Government tasked the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Finance, and the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, to provide funds in the amount of EUR 357,640 for the purpose of seasonal surplus lambs purchase. In parallel, the Investment and Development Fund is responsible to open a special credit line for financing meet industry intended for redemption in the amount of EUR 12 million.
