DPM Ivanović visits Vectra Jakić campany to monitor implementation of project funded by Abu Dhabi Development Fund

Pljevlja, Montenegro (25 September 2016) -- Pellet production in the Vektra Jakić company has entered the continuous production of a high-quality pellet intended primarily for export. Thirty new employers, who have been trained by representatives of the equipment manufacturer, work in the most modern plants for pellet production in the region. The factory has a capacity of 7.5 tons of A1 quality-pellets per hour. Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro Petar Ivanović paid a visit to the company, which is implementing the project funded by the Abu Dhabi Development Fund's loan.

"This is the quality that enabled us to enter EU markets. The plant is now fully ready for serial production. Training of workers was also completed, as well as fine adjustment of all parametres," Mr Brkovic said, adding that since October, this drive will work in three shifts.

According to him, Vektra will try to contribute to the improvement of ecological situation in Pljevlja. He also emphasised the new investment in reconstruction and modernisation of the 45 MW-energy block.

"One boiler will be delivered in March, and the second one will be contracted by the end of next year. We will have the amount of energy generated from biomass that could meet the needs of the Vektra company, but also it will be used it for heating the city core," he explained. Special benefits will be offered to citizens who have installations for pellets heating.

DPM Ivanović, who is continuously monitoring the implementation on the ground of all the projects funded from the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, voiced satisfaction with the results achieved by the Vectra Jakić company. He noted that nine loan agreements have been signed so far, of which, five have been already implemented.

"Vektra is one of the companies that is funded in that way. I am very glad that the company has started to export to Italy, and taht there will be special benefits for the citizens of Pljevlja. This shows that the Vektra company is socially responsible, that it aims not only to make profit, but to be an active participant in the development of Pljevlja," DPM Ivanović underlined.

Deputy Prime Minister Ivanovic called on other entrepreneurs from Pljevlja and entire Montenegro to submit applications for providing funds from the Abu Dhabi Development Fund in order to increase production and create new jobs.

"If we do not that, nobody else is going to do that for us. We must let go divisions and work together, because that will produce quick results to our benefit and enable us to catch up European level the quality of life faster," he concluded.
