Bijelo Polje, Montenegro (5 October 2016) – The work on the construction of a new factory for meat processing in Bijelo Polje is coming to an end. Production in the modern area which extends over 5,000 square meters creates possibility to open 70 new jobs, but also to further develop individual farmers from the north, through a system of purchase and cooperatives.

Deputy Prime Minister Petar Ivanović expressed satisfaction with the project. It is one of five projects that have so far been funded by the Abu Dhabi Development Fund. DPM Ivanović pointed out that all five projects are in the northern part of Montenegro, whose realisation will have benefits for citizens, farmers and the economy of northern Montenegro.

"Two of the five projects are being implemented in the municipality of Bijelo Polje. Both are focused on the development of processing facilities. Hereby, Montenegro gets two modern facilities for the processing of milk (Milkraft) and meat (Mesopromet) located on the 5,000 square meters, built according to modern standards," Ivanović said.
