Minister Goranović opened XI Nikšić Guitar Fest

Pavle Goranović, Minister of Culture, opened XI edition of International Niksic Guitar Fest, in Niksic Theatre.
Niksic Guitar Festival is organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with the Music Center of Montenegro.
At the opening, Minister Goranović said that the Festival internationalized this region by networking local with foreign artists of many countries in the world that have had their representatives at the Niksic Guitar Festival.
"Bearing in mind the prudent management policy of this cultural event, and careful program selection, I could freely say that the Guitar Fest in Niksic has built itself into a brand of this city, recognized as a serious project, like similar regional and European competition festivals of guitar", said Minister Goranović.
He pointed out that the Niksic Guitar Festival managed to maintain and improve its status in the festival map of Montenegro, but also much more widely. "This is confirmed by its duration, reputation of artists and performers who come in Niksic, and also by his audience," added the Minister.
The festival has been opened with a concert of the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra and guitarist Mark Topchi from Ukraine, and the organizers have also prepared high quality repertoire for the coming days of this year's edition, where excellent guitarists and musicians will be hosted.
The winner of before organized competition part of the festival is a Ukrainian Marko Topchi, who performed a concert for guitar and orchestra W501 Heitor Villa-Lobos as a soloist at the opening of the festival. Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra performed the second part of the evening, when interpreted the Symphony No. 2 in E minor, Opus 17 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
In the coming days, XI Niksic Guitar Festival will host Vlatko Stefanovski and Theodosii Spassov, Duo "Muchkalica" - Zoran Anic and Nenad Ljubenović, Amir-John Haddad (El Amir) and Jose Salinas.
