PM Đukanović visits construction site of Bar – Boljare motorway: CCCC is ready to build next section Mateševo-Andrijevica

Prime Minister Milo Đukanović, Executive Director of the CCCC International Lee Qingwei, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Montenegro Cui Zhuiwei and Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Ivan Brajović visited on Tuesday, 11 October 2016, construction site of the Bar-Boljare motorway – priority section Smokovac-Uvač-Mateševo.

CCCC International CEO Lee Qingwei expressed company's willingness to continue construction of the next section of the motorway Mateševo-Andrijevica, as well as of the Verige Bridge, immediately after this section is finished.

"We are committed to work side by side with local businesses to create a situation in which each party shall benefit; we are committed to fully respect local laws, rules and cultural practices. We are building the future characteristics of Montenegro, creating new jobs and bringing international experience," Qingwei said.

Prime Minister Đukanović welcomed Mr Qingweis's words, saying at the end of the visit that he was convinced that the first section will be finished on schedule, and that construction of the new phase Mateševo-Andrijevica will begin in the near future.

"The construction of the motorway creates the most important and most valuable precondition to duly and permanently overcome the problems of the underdevelopment of the northern areas, which is a priority of the Government’s development policy. Our commitments to build winter tourism centers and develop the production of healthy food with the renowned hotel groups, now become completely realistic," the Prime Minister noted.
