NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller to pay official visit to Montenegro

NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller will pay an official visit to Montenegro on 2 and 3 November. This is the first visit of the NATO Deputy Secretary General after her appointment.

Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Đukanović, Deputy Prime Minister Duško Marković and Defence Minister Milica Pejanovic Đurišić, will host the NATO Deputy Secretary General. Press releases will be issued after the meetings.

On 2 November 2016, Ms Gottemoeller will deliver a speech at the University of Montenegro. The lecture is not open to the media.

On 3 November 2016, the Deputy Secretary General will attend the closing ceremony of  the 16th international field exercise organised and conducted by NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC). On that occasion, President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović and NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller will address the participants and the public at the Plavnica Resort.

Media Advisory

Public Relations Service of the Government of Montenegro will provide photographs and video recordings of:
1. The beginning of meetings between the NATO Deputy Secretary General and the Government’s officials;
2. The beginning of the NATO Deputy Secretary General’s lecture at the University of Montenegro;
3. The addresses by President of Montenegro and the NATO Deputy Secretary General of NATO.

Event: "Montenegro 2016" exercise – Open to the media.
Time: Thursday, 3 November 2016, from 10:00 to 11:45.
Location: Plavnica Resort, space in the parking lot of the restaurant, next to the restaurant (in water and on land) and in the back of the restaurant (the pool area).

Agenda:

10:00 - Arrival of the President of Montenegro and the NATO Deputy Secretary General. They will be welcomed by Director of the Directorate for Emergency Situations Mirsad Mulić.
Detour of the exercise demonstration until 11 a.m.
11:00 – Anthems of NATO and Montenegro
11:05 - Addresses:
           Mirsad Mulić, Director General for Emergency Situations
           Filip Vujanović, President of Montenegro
           Rose Gottemoeller, NATO Deputy Secretary General
11:30 - Greeting the team leaders

Details:

Media representatives, who have provided accredtations in accordance with the instructions of the Public Relations Service of the Government of Montenegro of 26 October 2016 will be allowed to enter the location where the exercise will be held. Media representatives can pick up their accreditations at the reception desk of the Government starting on  Wednesday, 2 November 2016 at 12:00.

Distribution of sound (one channel - consecutive translation of speeches) will be available to the media at the exercise’s location. Space for cameramen will be covered.

Media representatives will be provided with 30-40 Mbps Internet connection speed (enough to quickly send photographs and video material)/wireless connection (Wi-Fi).
