Prime Minister Milo Đukanović congratulates President-elect of the US Donald Trump

Podgorica, Montenegro (9 November 2016) -- Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Đukanović congratulated the newly elected President of the United States of America Donald Trump on winning the elections.

In his congratulatory message, PM Đukanović wished Mr Trump success in performing the high office, confident that under his leadership, the United States will continue to play an irreplaceable role in the world towards stabilising global opportunities and seeking answers to contemporary challenges.

The Prime Minister notes that Montenegro appreciates the traditional friendship with the USA and the level of relations and cooperation that have evolved into a strategic partnership, strengthened by the official Washington's continued support for the democratic development of Montenegro and its Euro-Atlantic path.

This will be confirmed by the soon ratification of the Protocol on the Accession of Montenegro to NATO, which is in the best interest of stability of the entire region, Prime Minister Đukanović underlines in his message to newly elected US President Donald Trump.
