Podgorica, Montenegro (29 November 2016) – The forty-first Government of Montenegro held its first session today, chaired by Prime Minister Duško Marković. The Government formed the permanent working bodies, established methods and manner of work and appointed office holders in the General Secretariat of the Government and the Prime Minister's Cabinet.

Nataša Pešić was appointed as the Secretary General of the Government, and Nikola Dedeić as the Deputy Secretary General.

Dragoljub Bulatović was appointed as the Head of the Prime Minister's Cabinet, Aleksandar Eraković as the Prime Minister's Chief Political Adviser, while Žarko Šturanović, Nina Vujošević and Merima Baković were appointed as the Prime Minister's Advisers.

The Head of the Commission for Economic Policy and Financial System will be Milutin Simović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, while Zoran Pažin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, was appointed as the President of the Commission for Political System, Internal and Foreign Policy. Mevludin Nuhodžić was elected as the President of the Commission for Human Resources and Administrative Affairs.

The formation of permanent working bodies creates procedural requirements for effectively preparing and making decisions at the Cabinet sessions, which, as outlined in the discussion, from the very beginning has large number of obligations, including priority adoption of the Draft Law on the Budget for 2017 and the fulfillment of tasks defined by the Montenegro's Programme of Accession to the European Union.

While speaking of the budget preparation, the Prime Minister stressed the need to reduce budgetary allocations for the consulting services, as well as the reduction of business travels as much as possible, warning that he would personally pay special attention to the expenditure side of the budget.

Prime Minister Duško Marković informed the ministers about the procedures and working methods of the Government and urged them to work efficiently, as well to take particularly responsible attitude towards national resources, saying that comfort in this regard cannot be allowed.
