Montenegro's Cabinet Session

Podgorica, Montenegro (2 December 2016) -- As part of the harmonisation of the Montenegrin legal system with the EU Acquis, the Government of Montenegro adopted at today's session, chaired by Prime Minister Duško Marković, the regulations to ensure implementation of the new Law on Food Safety: Regulation on vitamins, minerals and other substances that can be added to food, Regulation on objects and materials that come into contact with food that may be placed on the market and Regulation on the types of vitamins and minerals that can be used in the production of supplements. The adoption of these bylaws creates conditions for the production and transport of safe food at all levels, the Cabinet concluded.

An information on the current state in the field of water supply and wastewater management in 2015 was adopted at the session. It was noted that was invested heavily in the construction of major infrastructure facilities for water supply and wastewater treatment in the previous period.

The Cabinet adopted a Proposal for payment of the third part of contribution for improving the operational capacities of the Afghan security forces. 

Within personnel issues, the Cabinet adopted the Decision on the appointment of the Council for privatisation and capital projects, chaired by Prime Minister Marković.

The Cabinet appointed Zorica Kovačević as the director of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro.

At the end of the session, the Prime Minister called on the ministers to check media reports that employers do not show an adequate attitude towards employees in some business companies, claiming to have support of the Government.

„I want to send a clear message that such practice is not good because the values that are created are based on emploees“, the Prime Minister said.
