Montenegro to open Chapters 11 and 19 today
At the Intergovernmental Conference to be held in Brussels on 13 December, Montenegro will open two more chapters in the accession process with the EU. Negotiations will be opened in chapters 11 and 19, relating to "Agriculture and Rural Development"and "Social Policy and Employment", respectively.
Minister of European Affairs Aleksandar Andrija Pejović will lead Montenegrin delegation, which will also include Director General for European Affairs in the Ministry of European Affairs and Secretary of the Negotiating Group Miodrag Radović, Head of Montenegrin Mission to the EU, Ambassador Bojan Šarkić, as well as members of the Negotiating Group responsible for chapters 11 and 19, Director General of the Directorate for Agriculture and Fisheries in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Danijela Stolica and Director of the Directorate for European Integration, Programming and Implementation of EU funds in the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfar, Ljiljana Simović.
The opening of the negotiating chapters was preceded by the dedicated work of all institutions in complying with European regulations and practices in these areas. According to the projections of the European Commission, Montenegro has achieved a good level of compliance and administrative capacity necessary for the opening of the negotiations in these areas.
