Greetings to PM Marković on occasion of assuming office
Podgorica, Montenegro (14 December 2016) -- The congratulations on the occasion of assuming the office are still coming at the address of the Prime Minister Duško Marković.
Congratulatory letter of the Prime Minister of Srebia Aleksandar Vučić states: “I hope that You and the Government of Montenegro will contribute through your work to the further development of good neighbourly relations between our two countries, as well as their prosperous future. You will have an honest partner in the Government of Serbia and me personally in further promotion of economic cooperation and joint work on the realisation of important infrastructural projects as well as the promotion of cooperation in all other fields of mutual interest”.
The Prime Minister of Belgium Charles Michel welcomed Montenegro’s efforts in the field of European and Euro-Atlantic integration. The following is emphasised in his congratulatory letter addressed to the Prime Minister: “With the signing of the Accession Protocol in May this year and with 24 chapters opened in the negotiations with the EU, Montenegro is on the right path to achieve its strategic goals of full Euro-Atlantic integration. I wish to point out once again the full and continuous support of Belgium to your efforts to complete accession negotiations with the EU, especially in the key chapters 23 and 24”.
The Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte expressed his confidence that the solid bilateral relations will continue to strengthen during the term of the new Government. “I look forward to advancing our further cooperation and partnership of our countries for the benefit of our peoples”, was stated in the congratulatory letter of the Prime Minister Rutte.
Full support for Montenegro’s membership in the EU and NATO was presented by the Prime Minister of Poland Beata Szydło. She said: “I want to express my conviction that the very good relations linking our countries continue to deepen. Poland has always supported and will support the European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Montenegro. Successes in the process of integration with the European Union and recent accession to NATO strengthen the importance of Montenegro as an important political partner in the Western Balkans”.
“From the aspect of preserving and strengthening the stability and lasting peace in our region, the cooperation that we will as before develop with Montenegro in every field is of great importance. We feel a great joy that Montenegro will become a member of NATO, hopefully soon, i.e. that alliance element will be present in our relations. In hope that our close cooperation and relations will further develop, I wish you much success at the new position, and to friendly Montenegrin people I wish happiness and prosperity”, the Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim said in his congratulatory letter to the Prime Minister of Montenegro.
Wishes and willingness to strengthen bilateral relations were addressed also from the Prime Ministers of Georgia and Armenia.
In his congratulatory letter, the Prime Ministers of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili emphasises the following: “I am convinced that the dynamic relations between our two countries, based on mutual understanding and trust, will further strengthen during your term of office”. The Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan states the following: “I am sure that Your mandate will be marked by deepening of bilateral relations between our countries and peoples, as well as the additional improvement of close cooperation”.
The Prime Minister of Macedonia Emil Dimitriev expressed his satisfaction with the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, pointing out that he is “convinced that further promotion of cooperation in bilateral relations in all areas of common interests will significantly contribute to the fulfilment of our countries’ foreign policy goals and their full integration into the European and Euro-Atlantic structures”.
Good neighbourly relations with Montenegro and the intention of their further strengthening were confirmed by the Prime Minister of Kosovo Isa Mustafa. “I assure You that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo will remain firmly committed to the promotion of cooperation with Montenegro, especially in the area of integration of the countries in the Euro-Atlantic community”.
