Prime Minister Duško Marković sends letter of condolences to Prime Minister of Turkey

Podgorica, Montenegro (2 January 2017) — Prime Minister Duško Marković sent a letter of condolences to the Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yildirim over the terrorist attack in Istanbul on New Year’s night. “It is with deep sorrow that I received news on yet another terrorist attack in Turkey which claimed lives of 39 innocent citizens and in which over 70 were injured,” the letter reads.

“On behalf of the Government of Montenegro and in my own name, I extend to the families and friends of the victims, as well as to you and the people of Turkey, the expressions of our deepest condolences for your loss and the wishes for a speedy recovery of those who suffered injuries. Convinced that you will find the strength and courage to overcome these difficult moments, I extend the message of sincere support of Montenegro and its citizens,” the letter of Prime Minister Marković to his Turkish counterpart reads.
