Minister of Foreign Affairs Srđan Darmanović to participate in WB6 Ministerial Meeting in Skopje

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro Srđan Darmanović will participate in a meeting of ministers of foreign affairs of the Western Balkans (WB6) in Skopje, 9 February 2017, at the invitation of the Macedonian Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki.

The main topics of the meeting will be summarizing results in implementing decisions of the last WB6 Summit in Paris and preparation for the upcoming Summit in Trieste. They will also discuss the priority issues for the region, as well as the impact of global developments on the EU enlargement process.

The participation of Montenegrin delegation, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Srđan Darmanović, represents a good opportunity to highlight the importance of further progress of Montenegro in the European and Euro-Atlantic integration and to emphasise its commitment to the regional cooperation and preservation of good neighborly relations. Visit will also provide the opportunity to meet with colleagues from the region and senior EU officials and exchange opinions on the current situation in the region, further continuation of regional cooperation and implementation of Connectivity Agenda within the WB6, with the aim of strengthening the economic integration of the region.
