Lieutenant General Ljubiša Jokić met with the USA Ambassador Margaret Ann Uyehara

Chief of Defence of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, Lieutenant General Ljubiša Jokić welcomed today the USA Ambassador Margaret Ann Uyehara.

General Jokić expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for the assistance that USA provides to the Armed Forces of Montenegro on the road of accession into NATO and expressed the expectations that the cooperation of two countries in the field of security and response on contemporary threats and challenges will continue also in the upcoming period.

Ambassador Uyehara congratulated the General Jokić on his appointment on the duty and expressed the expectations that the extremely good cooperation of two countries in next period will be improved. Ambassador stressed that the USA will continue to provide strong support to Montenegro in the road of Euro Atlantic integrations and expressed the belief that the USA Congress will soon ratify the Accession Protocol of Montenegro into NATO.
